CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES & SUSTAINABILITY: GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES & OPPORTUNITIES
Reflecting the increased global awareness and demand for cleaner technologies, Clean Technologies & Sustainability: Global Perspectives & Opportunities will bring together local, Midwest and international entrepreneurs, practitioners and policy makers to share best practices and discover new synergies for collaboration, cooperation and commercialization.
In a half-day format designed to encourage audience interaction, local and international thought leaders will explore the Economics & Public Policy aspects of clean tech as well as issues related to Science & Technology Commercialization. Sectoral breakout sessions will provide opportunities for in-depth discussions of: Sustainable Water & Land Management; Solid Waste & Recycling; Architecture & Design; Renewable Energy; and Biomaterials & Green Manufacturing.
Unique to this conference is a special “trade fair” area where manufacturers and entrepreneurs are encouraged to display their products and technologies. Exhibitors are being recruited through the Midwest Research University Network, trade associations and other co-sponsors to showcase some of the Midwest's leading-edge technologies.
Clean Technologies & Sustainability: Global Perspectives & Opportunities is being held on September 9 to coincide with the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) at Chicago's McCormick Place (September 8-13). Organized by AMT – The Association for Manufacturing Technology, IMTS (www.imts.com) is held in Chicago every other year. It attracts nearly 100,000 visitors to meet over 1,200 exhibitors from at least 119 countries.
At the conclusion of Clean Technologies & Sustainability: Global Perspectives & Opportunities, buses will be available to take participants to McCormick Place for a special guided tour of the IMTS by AMT officials. |
