Kimberly Peterson is the Director, Environmental for Graphic Packaging International, Inc.. She is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate environmental policies, procedures and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with Federal, State and/or local environmental laws and regulations.

In addition, her responsibilities include negotiating and meeting with Federal, State and local regulators in response to any notice of violations or consent decrees. She also identifies, analyzes and communicates environmental regulations to all business units within Graphic Packaging, including box board paper mill, folding carton, labels, flexible packaging, multi-wall bag packaging, and ink manufacturing.

Ms. Peterson has extensive experience in preparing environmental reports such as: Annual Air Emission Reports, NPDES DMRs, Form R, Tier II, Monitoring reports, HWR, SPCC, SWPPP, etc. She is responsible for developing and implementing sustainability initiatives corporate wide, and has become an expert user of the Wal-Mart sustainable packaging software modeling systems. Ms. Peterson formerly served as Corporate Manager, Environmental Compliance, at Field Container Company, LP.

Ms. Peterson is a graduate of Truman State University (Political Science and German) and the University of Salzburg , where she studied European Economics. She is currently working toward a Master's in Environmental Management at the Illinois Institute of Technology/Stuart Graduate School of Business. She is also a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.
