Martha Carney is Principal of Outsourced Innovation, which she founded with a mission of accelerating solid state lighting into the marketplace. She has broad-based experience in marketing, sales, and business development with both Fortune 500 companies and startups. She has a particular focus on commercializing new products around energy efficiency. Prior to establishing Outsourced Innovation, Martha was Senior Manager of Business and Product Development for Nicor Service, the deregulated marketing affiliate of Nicor Gas, where she was responsible for developing new products and sales channels to support national expansion.
Carney's most recent projects include guiding the complete interior conversion to LEDs for a national restaurant chain and the Drake Hotel in Chicago . She brings a team approach to help clients understand how solid state lighting can lower operating costs, improve energy efficiency and maximize design and marketing opportunities from advances in LED technology.
Carney has an MBA in Marketing from Keller Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin. She is a Certified New Product Development (PDMA) professional and frequent speaker at utility industry conferences on solid state lighting. |
